Mediterranean Diet: More Good News

In a recent article published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, a study showed that those that adhered to a Mediterranean Diet had significantly less incidence of stoke, depression and not startlingly, a significantly decreased incidence of cognitive decline or memory loss. In a related study, researchers found that most patients who complain of cognitive decline or memory loss do not have Alzheimer’s disease but rather are experiencing insulin resistance in the brain, which can be improved with lifestyle changes, like changing one’s diet.
